Recipe - Brownie Trifle

I want to share a family favorite recipe of mine.

Brownie Trifle

This is one of my daughter's favorite recipes and the most requested recipe at family functions.

The combination of ingredients just can't be described. It is that good!

Ingredients
Brownie Mix and the necessary ingredients listed on the box
Box of Chocolate Pudding ( I use instant, sugar free)
1 Bag of Toffee Bits (found with the chocolate chips)
1 - 2 Tbsp of Instant Coffee granules or liquid coffee
1 Tub of Cool Whip
Trifle Bowl

This is my trifle bowl. You can find these at Walmart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc.

Directions:
Make your brownies according to the directions on the box and ADD IN the instant coffee granules or some of your leftover coffee. Let them  cool and then cut into 1 inch squares. Make the pudding according to the package directions.

In the trifle bowl, layer half of the brownies then half of the pudding then half of the toffee bits, and then half of the cool whip.

Layer 1 - Brownies

Layer 2-Pudding

Layer 3 - Toffee Bits

Layer 4- Cool Whip

Repeat these layers with your remaining ingredients and end with the cool whip.

Keep this refrigerated until ready to serve.

You can garnish the top with extra toffee bits or chocolate curls as well.

Here is a closer look at the layers.

I hope you will give this recipe a try. I think your family will love it!

  1. Looks really good. I would have to leave out the coffee though, do not like coffee at all.
