My Fall Mantel 2012

Today I want to share a complete and full look at my fall mantel/fireplace.

I wanted to wait until I had shared all of my fall projects with you before sharing a complete view.

For this year, I made the faux window, yarn wreath, candle rings, and curly paper topiary. You can see these projects on previous blog posts.

The pumpkins on the right side were made several years ago at a scrapbook store. They are paper mache that have been painted orange. Some black tulle and leaves were glued to the bottoms. Then the pumpkins were rubbed with stickles.

I added some fall leave garland behind the window and added some glitter pumpkins and berries to the candle holders.

For the bottom of my mantel, I added my altered pumpkins that I just shared on my blog yesterday.

The lanterns on either side were a gray/metal color that I just spray painted red. I added some flickering fake candles and some pine cone/pumpkin mix to the inside.

The fireplace cover was handmade by my husband to look like a faux gate. I will be sharing how he made this on my blog tomorrow.

Here is a picture of my mantel at night with all of the candles flickering. I love these fake candles because they are on timers and I don't have to worry about forgetting to blow them out!

I hope you enjoyed the overall view of my fireplace.
