Christmas Decorations-Framed Art, Covered Books, and a Wooden Sled "Wreath"

I have various Christmas decorations to share with you today.

First up is my framed subway art.

I love finding these free printables on blogs or Pinterest.

I have a 11x14 picture frame that I use and I always paint a matching mat for the subway art.

Here is the link to this subway art.

I also like to print and frame a smaller printable in my kitchen.

For the smaller frames, you could frame your favorite Christmas card or a card you have made.

The next project is covered books.

I did this for the fall and wanted to do it again for Christmas.

I just took three old Readers Digest books and covered them in leftover Christmas scrapbook paper from last year (My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas)

You can watch the video below to see how I cover my books. Very easy and inexpensive but I love the look of these books in my Christmas decorations.

Next I want to share my wooden sled "wreath" that I made for my front door.

I bought this unfinished wooden sled from Michael's. The wooden #'s came from Hobby Lobby.

I used the Americana paint color Light Cinnamon. I used a Craft Smart color called Cherry Cobbler on the wooden numbers.

I bought some garland to cut up and use on the sled, red jingle bells, and two mittens.

I painted everything and then used hot glue to apply the #'s, garland, and mittens. I edged everything with Dazzling Metallics Champagne Gold paint. I also sprayed the entire sled with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists in Abdominable Snowman color. This added a layer of sparkle to the sled.

I love this on my door and since it is a sled, I think I am going to leave this on the door through winter.

Here is my video showing you everything up close and in detail.
