Thanksgiving Hat

Today I want to share an easy Thanksgiving hat decoration that I made for my home.

I have an antique hall tree in my entryway and I wanted a pretty hat to hang on it for Thanksgiving.
Here are the supplies that I used:
medium sized straw hat (Michael's)
fall leaves
feather boa in brown
hay bale
fall mix of pine cones, pumpkins, feather, fall picks, and acorns
I hot glued on the leaves around the rim of the hat first.
Then I hot glued the brown feather boa around the inside rim over the leaves.
Then I just hot glued the scarecrow and then added the other embellishments around it creating a scene.
Here are some close up pictures of the completed hat.
I wanted to add a cute "sign" so I found these free printables and cut one out and glued around a toothpick and stuck it into the hat. It added the finishing touch!

Here is my antique hall tree with my new hat.

The other sign hanging on the hall tree was made at a scrapbook store several years ago and say "forever thankful" and has an owl and pumpkin on it.

I am planning on adding a banner to the hall tree so stayed tuned for that project as well.

Here is a YouTube video showing you the supplies and completed hat.

Thank you for looking!
