Christmas Tree Cones

I have some pretty Christmas Tree Cones that I want to share with you today.

I have been seeing all kinds of these tree cones on Pinterest and wanted to make some for my home.

There is a video linked below for a better look at this project and more details.

Here are the supplies that I used.

Three foam cones in three sizes. I purchased mine from Michael's.
Yarn Bee Gilt Eyelash yarn in colors Star Ruby, Chocolate, and Sunspark
Hot Glue and Glue Gun

The yarn came from Hobby Lobby and it has a pretty sparkle to it and is easy to work with.

Start at the bottom of your cone and glue a small piece down and then begin wrapping your yarn.
I overlap the yarn to add fullness and fluff.
Go all the way to the top of the cone and come back down.
I added line of glue around the bottom of the cone to help hold down the yarn so that it wouldn't try to come off and overlap the base of the cone.
For the tops, I just added a small dab of glue and pressed down some of the yarn to cover the top.
You could add some type of decoration to the top if you prefer.

Here are more pictures.

I added these to some candle holders and just love the effect it adds to my vignette on my entertainment center.
