2013 Craft Room Tour and Video

For this blog post I want to share some pictures and video of my craft room.

In previous posts, I told you that I changed my color scheme to aqua, red, and white.

I was also working on collecting some vintage items and creating some items with my existing supplies.

I finally finished!

Here are some pictures, however for all of the details I highly recommend watching the video below.

This view is from the doorway.

My office desk is from Ikea.

This is my crafting table from Ikea.
I spray painted the lamp shades to match.
I also used some washi tape and covered my magnet boards on the wall behind this table.
The tripod and arm extender are what I use to film my YouTube videos.

I use a curtain rod to display layouts.
The two black racks are called clip-it-ups and hold my acrylic stamps.
The cubes hold various items from cardstock, adhesives, inks, etc.

For this shelf I found these vintage white shutters, and the bingo card, and cameras.
The "S" came from Hobby Lobby. I spray painted the mason jar and just added my paint brushes.
I also added a couple of mini albums from my stash.

This was a white open frame from Hobby Lobby that I spray painted red. I added a wire across the top so I could display printables, layouts, pictures, etc.

This cart came from amazon and is wonderful and very sturdy.
I found the typewriter on Ebay.

The shelf has a couple more vintage cameras on it and jars with buttons, ribbon, and thread.
I added another spray painted mason jar and made some rosettes for it.
The 7 Gypsies spinner has some vintage camera pictures and other fun embellishments.

This is a view of my desk. I keep my Silhouette Cameo, printer, laptop, and sewing machine here. I featured the printers tray and smaller shelf in this blog post.

Here is another spray painted frame with some added wire and clothes pins to hang pictures, etc.

This is the top of my Ikea expedit. I found this great red vintage ladder and red suitcase. I made the wreath out of sewing patters and hung it from the ladder. I also made a quick doily banner for the suitcase. I am using the suitcase to hold my mini albums.

There is also another 7 gypsies printers tray, vintage dictionary and camera.

Here is a closer view.

My expedit holds my patterned paper, albums, chipboard, page protectors, and dies.

Here is another view looking in.  I love my little space and am inspired to create everyday!!

  11. And I thought red and blue could never go together—until I saw the spray-painted open frame in the pictures. Sky blue looks fascinating for a wall colour. Your craft room is splendid, indeed.

  12. Love your craft room! I'm just starting on my new craft room. My husband gave me the go ahead to transform our "formal" living room into my Craft Room / Office. My question... Do you remember the paint color you used? (brand & color) Is it a dark or medium "teal"? I'm waffling between a light Aqua and a darker teal (if you are familiar with Stampin' Up! then the colors are basically Bermuda Bay (Love it on the wall & my husbands VOTE but concerned it may be too dark) and Pool Party (love the color but former home had this color EVERYWHERE & husband dislikes because it is too pale)... Thanks for sharing! I'm so excited about the craft room. New Hardwood Floors and I get to shop for more storage. Craft storage is White and accent colors are a Pale Yellow (So Saffron) and a Dark Red (Cherry Cobbler).
