Sewing Pattern Wreath

Today I want to share with you how I made a sewing pattern wreath for my craft room.

When I shared my craft room tour here, I showed this wreath that I made for my room.

Here is how I made this wreath.

Supplies - 12inch straw wreath (leave wrapper on), canvas, sewing pattern, circle scalloped punch, glue gun, and pencil

I wrapped and glued the canvas around the wreath. I punched out a bunch of circle scallops from the sewing patterns.

I layered about 3 or 4 circles together and used my pencil to help adhere and hold down the shape when gluing onto the canvas. You then will need to place some glue in between each scallop circle until all glued down.

Keep gluing all the way around until the wreath is a full as you like it.

I glued on some antique white/cream buttons around the wreath.

I used some extra canvas to tie the wreath to my antique red ladder.

I like the added shabby chic touch to my craft room.

The sewing patterns were my Mom's that she used when I was little. I am so happy that I am able to use them for my crafty projects! Thanks Mom!

I hope you enjoyed this wreath tutorial.

Thank you for looking!

  8. Your wreath is beautiful! Anytime you make a wreath I am inspired. You are patient to have glued all of those down. The result is amazing!!!

  9. It looks awesome and it's a source of inspiration for me since I love to sew my own pieces of clothing or similar accessories. Your wreath actually reminded me of my favorite fabric store called King Textiles here in Toronto where I usually find everything I need to design my own clothes and I'll definitely try to sew a similar wreath and many other items to enrich my personal collection. :)
