Scrapbooking Layouts - Noel Mignon March Kit

I have some 12x12 layouts to share with you today.

Grab your favorite beverage and snack because I have several layouts with lots of pictures!!!

I bought the March Noel Mignon Daffodil Hill scrapbooking kit when it came available in February. You get a lot of product in Noel's kit. If you haven't seen one of her kits, here is a video that I made showing the contents of the kit.

Noel Mignon has created a Facebook group that you can join.  They are having a Spring Fling this week with lots of fun challenges.  These challenges have been fun and have inspired me to create!!

I am not done with this kit yet, but wanted to go ahead and share what I have made so far.

I will film all of my layouts at the end of the week so stay tuned.

Here we go!!!

Designer Julie Bonner asked us to use this sketch as one of the challenges.

Here is my layout using this sketch.

"Hello Love"

I stitched three circles onto my layout with some pink thread to go along with the sketch.

I love the colors in this layout. These papers were perfect for this picture of Emily at our local park.

I printed the title using my Silhouette Cameo.

This next layout is scraplifted from this layout by Diane Payne for Scrapbook Trends.

I had some leftover Maya Road calendar tags in my stash and when I saw this layout, I knew this would be perfect.

"You Make Me Happy All Year Long"

For this layout, we had a journaling prompt challenge. Our journaling had to start with "I know it's Spring when.."

"Spring Blooms:

This layout was scraplifted from the March Scrapbook trends from a layout by Pamella Brown.

Pamella had this pretty sunburst effect on her layout and I knew it would be perfect for this layout about spring flowers at our local nursery.

My journaling reads, "I know it's spring when I could stay hours at our local Home Depot looking at the pretty flowers and dreaming of a beautiful garden."

The next challenge was to create an ombre effect on a layout using a pastel color.

I used every blue paint and mist that I had in my stash to create this layout. I used some Heidi Swapp resist paper and loved the effect it created for my background.

"She is just a tree climbing kind of girl!"

I hope you enjoyed looking at all of my layouts. They were all fun to create.

Thank you for looking.

See you on the next post.

Quick Decor Change - Personalizing Our Space

I made a quick decor change to our living room and wanted to share it with you today.

Do you ever get tired of looking at the same decorations and pictures in your home?

I have had these two gold cross pictures hanging in our living room for 7 years.  It was time for a change.

They were too gold since we switched all of our fixtures to bronze. Also, I wanted to personalize our space.

I have been wanting to add more family pictures to our home decor since we have started having professional pictures taken every November.

I thought I would add a family picture to our mantel. However, I discovered that I can't get a picture frame to sit on the mantel because it is not deep enough. I can only fit a 5x7 frame on the mantel and that just wasn't big enough to have an impact to our space.

So the idea popped into my head to buy some new frames and hang a couple of family pictures by the mantel that I could change out each year. Hence the cross picture frames had to go.

I found two beautiful bronze 11x14 frames with mats at Homegoods for $12.99 each. Since they were matted, they hold an 8x10 size picture.

I printed out two family photos from Mpix and here is the result.

(Mpix is an online photo processing store that our photographer highly recommended. They are great!)

I love it!!

If you are feeling like you need a change to your space, maybe consider this idea.

It was a quick, easy, and an inexpensive home decor change.

I love how our pictures personalize our space.

Thank you for looking!

See you on the next post.

Door Knob Hanger - "On The Air"

I made this fun door knob hanger for my craft room.

Here is the YouTube video for this project.
This was such a fun crafty project!  My fellow YouTube video makers will understand the need for this door knob hanger!!
It never fails, I will be making a video and my family comes in, knocks, etc. They have been telling me that I needed a sign on my craft room door letting them know that I am filming a video.
I found this inexpensive door knob hanger from Hobby Lobby and knew that this could be my "sign."
Here are the supplies I used.
October Afternoon 9 to 5 Collection Kit and matching brads
Door knob hanger
Thickers - Amy Tangerine Hello
Craft Smart Paint in Ivory
Paint Brush and Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
I enjoyed making this hanger. It was a fun Sunday afternoon crafty project.
I painted the hanger in the ivory color. I glued some of the paper to the front of the hanger and then used a craft knife to cut off the excess and the hole.
I decorated with some of the stickers and labels from the collection kit.
I used the Amy Tangerine thickers for the title "On the Air."
I used buttons, brads, and enamel dots to embellish around the hole.
That was all it took to make this wonderful sign for my craft room door!
Here are more pictures.
Thank you so much for looking.
See you on the next post.
