Spring Curly Paper Wreath

I have a cute spring curly paper wreath to share with you today.

These are fun wreaths to make!!  My Mom has been asking for a wreath to hang in her kitchen, so I packed up my supplies and headed over to teach Mom how to make one of these wreaths.

Mom picked this paper collection for her wreath. It is the Coconut Lime Soup collection from Jillibean Soup. You can find it here.

You also need a Styrofoam wreath, stick pins, bone folder, and ribbon for hanging.

I cut the paper into 1/2 inch by 12 inch strips.

You use your bone folder to curl the paper. That was my Mom's job!

I cut about 8 sheets of paper for a 14-inch wreath.
Look at these lovely curls for our wreath!!

Once your paper is cut and curled, you then start sticking it into the wreath form with the stick pins.

Just go around the wreath and fill it as full as you might like it. I used every bit of the paper that we curled, so it is very full looking.

I also go ahead and pin on the ribbon and then place my curls around and over it.

I also like to add in 2 or 3 sheets of a matching cardstock color. I like how the colored cardstock breaks up the patterned paper. This is optional.

I used some of the stickers from the collection kit to embellish the wreath. I glued the stickers on for extra hold.

Nors is my maiden name and my parents live on a farm so I made this tag using the alpha stickers that come with the collection kit. I love this personalized touch!

Love it!!!

My Mom was excited to make this wreath and enjoyed the process.

These wreaths are always fun to make and turn out so pretty.

Thanks for looking!

  4. This is SUPER cute! I don't know if I have the patience to cut, curl and pin all that paper, but the end result is adorable. I could probably get my girls to help out, they would probably love it! New follower here, and thanks for visiting and following my blog.
