Completed Project Life Album using the Becky Higgins Jade Kit

I finished my 2010 Project Life album using the Becky Higgins Jade kit.

On a past blog post, I shared the Jade project life kit that I bought from HSN.
I finally finished the album.

Here is my YouTube video with a flip through of the album.

I already had all of the pictures printed and in a regular album.
I wanted to do a project life style album so I could add journaling and the stories behind my pictures.
Here are a few pictures of some of the pages.
This album is full. I encourage you to watch the video so you can see the entire album.
Here is my front title page.

I love these tabbed dividers that came with the kit.

I kept my layouts simple.
I had a lot of pictures, so my layouts consist of mainly pictures, a journaling card, and a filler card.

Depending on my pictures, I used mainly Design A page protectors from Becky Higgins.

For documenting our summer beach vacation, I used some Design D page protectors.

For documenting a work trip below, I used some We R Memory Keepers page protectors.

This is the back title page. I added some Ali Edwards stamps to a couple of the title cards below.

This ended the 2010 project life album.

I am so happy that I bought this kit and that I took the time to put together this album.

I love capturing our pictures and stories using this style of scrapbooking.

Thank you for looking.
See you on the next post.

Heidi Swapp Memory Files Album Part 6

Here is week 6 (pages 20-24) of my Heidi Swapp Memory Files Album.

The prompt on Heidi's blog was "what inspires you."
Here is my YouTube video showing everything in detail.
The first page is super simple.
I cut the "what inspires me" on my silhouette cameo and misted it with the teal color shine mist.
The pink tag and banner are from Heidi Swapp.

The next page has a Heidi Swapp flip book. On this page, I added some places where I find inspiration.
I added more HS banner and a Pink Paislee arrow.

I added some letter stickers and pictures of places where I find inspiration. I included Mood Boards, stores such as Target and World Market, Blog parties, antique stores, and Two Peas in a Bucket (their gallery and Garden Girl designs).

On the next page, I printed a few boards from my Pinterest account. I cut the Pinterest title on my cameo and painted it pink. I also cut the polaroids with the cameo using the Glitz designs paper called Love You Madly.

On this page, the "inspires me" is a free cut on the Heidi Swapp blog. I printed some pictures from my Pinterest boards and made this fun mood board.

I used the mood board colors and sketch to make this double page layout on the next two pages.

I used the Maggie Holmes collection by Crate Paper. These pictures are from Mother's Day. We went to a local park that has wonderful walking trails around the lake. We also had a nice picnic lunch too. It was a great Mother's Day!!

I cut the title, Life is an adventure, from my cameo and it is available on the Silhouette store.

On this last page, I painted it blue and cut up the strips from the Maggie Holmes paper. I added a fun picture of Emily along with a doily and some paper layers to the middle.

These words by Maggie Holmes are beautiful.

The polaroid frame and circle "this is heart" piece are new pieces from the Elle Studio May monthly kit that is available on their store.

I am still having so much fun with this album!

I hope you are inspired to create.

See you on the next post.

Heidi Swapp Memory Files Album Part 5

Hi there, here is part 5 of my Heidi Swapp Memory Files Album.

I am following along with Heidi Swapp's blog for their memory files adventure.

The prompt for week 5 was Here and Now and we had prompts such as I am, I choose, I hope, I dream, etc.

Here is the YouTube video showing part 5 in details.

I started with this "here and now" tag. I used some Heidi Swapp letters for the "me @ 38." I also added the 2013 and Pink Paislee mistable heart and arrow.

On the back of the tag above, I added a recent picture of me or "selfie" as they called it on Heidi's blog.
I cut the polaroid frame from my Silhouette cameo.

On the next page, all I did was cut this saying, "Be true to who you are," and a potty girl from my cameo.

For the next page, I used the "I hope" prompt. I cute this on my cameo using white card stock and then embossed it with Kaleidoscope embossing power. I created this 5x7 picture collage using some older pictures of the women in my life (Great-Grandmother, Grandmothers, Mother, and Mother-In-Law).

On the next page, I used the "I dream" prompt and included a childhood picture of myself.

On this page, for the "I choose" prompt I chose a picture of my Mother's Day flowers and card from Emily, my daughter. My journaling is about my decision to leave my job and become a stay-at-home Mom and housewife again.

For this page with the two page protectors, I did the "I am" prompt and added my name, cut from the cameo.
The bottom page protector has a transparency cut to fit and is a shaker page with some loose sequins, heart, clouds, and butterfly cuts and sheets of paper cut to read wife, mother, aunt, etc.

For the next and last page, I covered the page with strips of washi tape. I cut the saying, "She Designed a Life She Loved" with white card stock using my cameo and sprayed the paper with Heidi's Gold color shine mist.

Nice and simple.

Here is a better view of my words.

Thank you for looking!
I am off to work on week 6.
See you on the next blog post.

Happy Dreams 12x12 Layout - Another NSD Challenge Layout

Here is another layout for the Two Peas In a Bucket NSD Challenge.

This is for challenge #7 - Inspired by a Garden Girl.

I channeled my inner Corrie Jones, a garden girl at Two Peas.

I pulled out my American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection and just got busy.

I used this 4x6 photo collage of Emily rollerblading. When I want to go for a walk, she always grabs her bike, rollerblades, etc and stays ahead of me.

I hope in life that she keeps moving forward thus I titled this layout, "Happy Dreams."

I cut a 4x6 cloud overlay for my picture. I cut up the polaroid paper in this collection and layered them around the picture, top and bottom of the page.

I then added rub-on's, stickers, chipboard, washi tape, and flair around the page.

The journaling reads, "Emily, Keep moving forward toward your dreams my sweet girl! I believe in you!"

I had so much fun with this challenge.

Thanks for looking!

See you on the next post.

12x12 Scrapbook Layouts for National Scrapbook Day Challenges

I hope you all had a great National Scrapbook Day!!

I managed to following along with Two Peas In a Bucket and three of their challenges.

Here is my YouTube video showing you all layouts in details.

"Look into my Eyes" Layout

This layout for the Two Peas In a Bucket Photo Focus Challenge

For this layout I used the Vintage Bliss collection from Simple Stories.

This challenge was to focus on photo inspired products. I cut a polaroid using my Silhouette Cameo. I used a free printable from Simple Stories that features a camera. I heat embossed a wooden camera that is on the top right corner. The glassine bag has some glittered cut out cameras in it just like the one on the front of the bag.

This picture was taken in 2009 when our black pug, Poot, was a puppy. Emily taught Poot how to climb up her slide and I captured this sweet picture of Emily talking to Poot and Poot listening and loving Emily's attention.

I simply titled it "Look into my Eyes" and just love this picture.

"Love This" Layout

This layout was for the Two Peas In a Bucket Sketch challenge.

I followed the sketch pretty close other than using one 5x7 collage versus two pictures.

This layout is about a road trip we took to Granbury, TX and a visit a wonderful antique store called Witherspoons. I kept the business card and used it on the layout. I also bought these LOVE Scrabble tiles from this store.

The paper is from the Dear Lizzy/American Crafts Lucky Charm collection. I also used some doilies and stamps from my stash.

"Let's Play Ball" Layout

The color combo for this challenge included navy blue, grass green, lemon yellow, and soft gray.

The only collections that I had in my stash with these colors were the Lily Bee Persnickety and Double Dutch collections.

I used 3 - 4x6 photos for this layout. I didn't want to cut these down because I love the blue skies and grass.  These pictures show Emily and Mac playing ball. I knew I wanted my title to be let's play ball, so I focused on punching circles and putting them into a half circle on the layout. I like the effect.

These colors are not what I usually reach for, so this was a challenge for me and I loved it!

Thank you for looking at my layouts!

See you on the next post.
