Fall Burlap Banner

I have another fall home decor craft to share with you today.

This is my quick and easy fall burlap banner.

Here is my YouTube video with an up close look at the banner.

I wanted to use existing supplies so I looked through my stash and found enough burlap to create a banner.

I created a pennant template using my silhouette cameo and cut out five pennant pieces from my burlap.

It was a little lighter in color than I wanted, so I painted it with some Champagne Gold dazzling metallic paint by DecoArt and then sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the color Coffee Shop.

The burlap piece on the left is the original color and the piece on the right is after I painted and sprayed it.  Just enough of a subtle color change to blend better with my fireplace cover.

Next, I grabbed my Ten Second Studios Metal sheets. I have several colors and knew they would be pretty cut into leaf shapes.

I used my Silhouette cameo again to cut five different leaf shapes out of kraft paper.

Then I traced those onto the metal and used my Tim Holtz scissors to cut them out.

I then ran the metal leaf pieces through different cuttlebug folders and sanded the tops to reveal the embossing.

I then used some Scor-Tape to adhere the leaf shapes to my banner.

I glued the pennant pieces to some jute rope and placed it across my fireplace cover.

I love the rustic look of the burlap and the shine and texture of the leaves.

Thank you for looking and I will see you on the next post.
