Scrapbooking a Family Photo Session and Other Ideas

In this post I want to share how I scrapbooked our family photo session.

I also have some tips and gift ideas for these special photos.

Here is the YouTube video if you would like to see everything in detail.
We always take professional family photos the day after Thanksgiving.
We have a standing appointment with our photographer. She was Emily's first grade teacher and is wonderful!
I love every picture that she takes and I want to capture every picture when I scrapbook.
Thank goodness for divided page protectors!
I took my favorite picture from the session and printed it at 8.5x11 to make a 12x12 layout.
The remaining pictures I printed at 4x6 and 3x4 size and placed in a divided page protector by Simple Stories.
Here are the supplies used.

Chic Tags Happy Place collection for the embellishments
Crate Paper DIY Shop "Decor" for the background paper
Simple Stories Harvest Lane Collection

Here is the layout with detailed pictures.
"Enjoy Life"

I love this picture and layout so much! I just want to frame it and leave it on display for a while.

I love the new chic tags collection called happy place and used a lot of the goodies on the lower right side of the layout.

I cut the layout title on my Silhouette cameo using paper from the Harvest Lane collection.

The scalloped border is from the collection as well.

I made a small cluster of goodies on the top left corner. It is a mix of Chic tags and Crate Paper goodies.

This is my favorite part of the layout and the last thing I added. Sequins are so much fun and popular right now. I love the look of the sequins going along with the leaves in the picture.

Oh sigh, enjoy life baby girl!!

I hope she always has this much fun!!

For the remaining photo pictures, I printed the landscape pictures at 4x6 and the portrait pics at 3x4.

For the empty pockets I filled with the Harvest Lane collection papers and some cuts from the Silhouette cameo.

Here are a couple of other ideas for your family photos.

For the past three years, I have made calendars for Christmas gifts.

For my 2013 calendar, I used our family photos for the calendar.

This was a Recollections brand calendar from Michael's and comes with the stickers, chipboard, and ribbon/embellishments. Follow the directions and add your photos and you have a fabulous gift.

I added the titles with my Silhouette Cameo.

Tip - If the colors in your picture do not mix with the background paper, print your picture in black and white. It works perfectly.

Here is another idea for the family photos.

Buy an inexpensive 4x6 brag book and decorate it with a paper collection or your Project Life
kits would work as well.

Here is my video showing you this brag book in detail.

Thank you for reading this long post! I hope you got some ideas for scrapbooking your family photos.

Thank you for looking. See you on the next post.
