Home Remodel - New Flooring

Today I want to share with you our home remodeling project for all new flooring.

We have been in our home for eight years and the home is 10 years old.
The builders grade carpet was showing its age and getting harder and harder to keep clean.
For the new year, we decided it was time to get new flooring.
This is not a sponsored post. We bought and paid for the flooring with our own money.
I did a vlog showing you the before and after process if you would like to watch.
Here are the before pictures.

I forgot to get a before of the living room.

Here is the flooring that we picked out.

The hardwood is by Mannington. The collection is called Black Isle Hickory and the color is Rye.

This is going in the entry way, office, hallway, dining room, and living room.

The carpet is by Mohawk. The style is 1W21 Endless Perfection and the color is 141 Hazelnut.

Here are some pictures during the process.

The living room after the carpet was removed.

The entryway after the hardwood was just installed.

Here are the after pictures.

This was a long process and hard work moving things around the house to have the flooring installed.

It was worth it and I would do it again!!

I love the new flooring and am so pleased with the flooring choices that we made.

I hope you enjoyed the before and after. The transformation is beautiful.

Thank you for reading this post.

  2. I so want to do wood flooring in my house, I just sooooo dread all the mess, how long did it take and what did you do with the furniture while the floor was being installed? How many sq ft is the area that you did and how much did it cost if you don't mind saying and finally did it make a huge mess? Sorry for all the questions.

  5. That is good stuff. Those upgrades should add a lot of prestige to your house. The layout may be taxing, but those kinds of remodeling is more than worth it. Everything looks amazing, so good job. :)
