Project Life Layout Share - January - March 2013

I want to share with you all my project life album for 2013.

To start us off, I am going to share January - March first.
Here is the YouTube video showing you everything in detail.

This is my cover page.  I used the midnight project life collection by Becky Higgins.

For January, I started off the year with our first family picture from the new year and some fun everyday, around the house pictures.

The other project life kits that I used throughout the album are the honey, jade, kraft, Maggie Holmes, and Amy Tangerine.

This is a layout that I made titled "Love this view." It is a picture of Emily sitting at her desk and I wanted to capture her and the things around her that she loves.

On the backside of the layout above is a collage of dive pictures of Emily from a dive meet.

For this page, I captured my winter mantel, vintage goodies that I have been finding for my craft room, an everyday picture of our new year to-do list and another dive meet for Emily.

For this page, I captured my Birthday, some cute pics of the Emily and the pugs, a sleepover for Emily, and a fun trip to an antique mall.

Here is a layout called "Hello Eleven" that I made for Emily's 11th birthday.
The paper collection is Fabulous by Simple Stories.

This layout captures fun times with friends, more crafty goodies for my craft room, loosing teeth, and Emily's birthday.

This page shows Emily's 11 year check up and I wrote in her stats for the year. I also captured my husband's 10 year work anniversary and a picture of him on a conference call. Emily had another loose tooth and I made more fun stuff for my craft room.

This layout starts February.  I am using the Elle's Studio calendar cards to label each month.

I started this month off with a "selfie" picture of a new haircut. I  just want to make sure I am in this album since I am the one taking all of the pictures.

I also capture more goodies for my craft room, a current favorite movie, and my nephew's 1st birthday party.

In this layout I continued with a birthday picture, an overall collage of my newly decorated craft room.  The next set of pictures are from my first scrapbook retreat.

In this layout I captured some text messages that Emily sent to me while I was at the retreat.  Andy sent me a picture of our fence that fell over from a bad storm. Emily gave me some V-day chocolates so I made sure to include the tag on the journaling card.

This layout captures an award ceremony from school and another dive meet for Emily.

This layout takes us into March.

I included a fun shopping photo and some everyday photos of Emily's vocabulary cards, my fav's from Starbucks, and my Spring decor and mantel.

I love capturing pictures of our home!

This layout takes us into spring break for Emily.

I have a fun picture of Emily helping Andy fix the fence. For spring break, Emily attended an Education camp that her teacher nominated her for. I made a collage of photos from Emily's camera.

This layout includes the final pictures from Emily's spring break. After she came home from camp, we went shoe shopping, lunch out, and then vegged in the living room before Emily went back to school.

This layout included a week of band tryouts (Emily picked the flute), last day of dive, Emily getting a stomach virus, Poot having a bad reaction to her yearly shots....whew, what a week, but I captured it anyway.

Then we go into Easter. Emily helped me make a fun rice krispy Easter recipe.  On Good Friday, we spent the day with my in-law's and ate at Houlihan's which was delicious!

This layout covers Easter morning and day with family!

Thanks for looking and the next post will share April through June 2013.

Linking up to the following blog party:

  1. Awesome layouts! Would you be so kind as to address in one of your videos how you keep your PL pages from not looking chaotic? Do you stck to one kit on each spread? Do you choose a couple of colors and just use those in one page? Your pages look so cohesive!
Love your work! Thank you so much for sharing!

  2. I enjoyed seeing your project life album on you tube. Have a question for you... how do you decide which pictures to use to make a layout with?? When I first started project life (I think I have done it for 4 years?) I used to add 12 by 12 layouts in it and somehow have gotten away from doing that. I want to do more 12 by 12 scrapping this year cause I miss it. But when I look through my photos to print, they somehow just end up in my PL. Do you use favorite pics, or ones with a bigger story? I am trying PL this year monthly instead of weekly and not doing the weekly intro cards, and so far have really enjoyed the freedom of that. Any hint or tips would be appreciated, Thanks! my email is

  3. I really like how you have incorporated tradition scrapbook layouts in with your project life. Looks great.
