Birthday Card - Crate Paper Pretty Party

I have a birthday card to share with you today.

When I got interested in paper crafting, I started with cards.  Now that I am into scrapbooking layouts, project life, and mini albums, I don't make that many cards anymore.

My niece had her 11th birthday in February.  She is very creative and artistic and loves receiving homemade cards from me, so I made her a card.

Here are the supplies that I pulled.

I used the Crate Paper Pretty Party paper collection.

I also used a ton of Crate Paper ephemera from various Crate Paper collections.

I also wanted to use the new embossing folder from the newest Dear Lizzy collection.

For my card base I just used some pink card stock that I cut into a 5x7 card.

Here is the paper after I ran it through the Dear Lizzy embossing folder.

It added these cute banner shapes.

I placed a sticker from the collection down the right side of the card.

Then I just started layering the ephemera onto the card.

To personalize the card, I included a February word piece, added her age (11) in letter stickers, and the "H" scrabble piece for her name.

I also love adding letter stickers on the envelope and I put her gift card in a cute wood grain bag from Michael's and I added a sticker from the collection.

It was fun to make a card again and I know my niece will cherish this card.

Thanks for looking.

  1. Super cute card! I have a lot of this collection so great inspiration for sure.
