Smash Book Page and a 12x12 Layout - Just Being Me

I dusted off my scrapbooking supplies and put together a Smash Book layout and a 12x12 scrapbook layout.

Here is the video if you would like to see the process video and how everything came together and all supplies used.

I joined the new Ali Edwards Story Stamp club and wanted to use the September stamp set.

The September story stamp is on the left and the Photo Stamp set is also brand new in the Ali Edwards store

I made a 5x7 collage picture of various pics from Emily shopping for school clothes over the summer.

At 12 yrs old, things are changing in regards to shopping for my girl.

She's growing up and this Momma wants to document the changes.

First I grabbed Emily's smash book and made a layout for her.

I had kept some of the tags from her new clothing and they are perfect to put in a smash book.

I just glued down the tags and used the Today You stamp to get my journaling started on the page.

I used the Currently stamp to be a part of the title, "Currently These are a Few of My Favorite Things.:

Since this is Emily's smash book, my journaling covers more about Emily finding her sense of style and new brands and her gaining confidence as a young lady.

For the layout, I used the exact same picture collage, but this time I'm telling more of a story about Emily growing up and not needing me to pick out her clothes or help her in the dressing room.

She is gaining her independence and I want to capture that in my storytelling.

As you can see from the collage, Emily loves to send me dressing room selfies.  I love this!

The paper collection that I used is called Styleboard from Maggie Holmes.

I cut my title, "Just Being Me," from my Silhouette Cameo using Maggie Holmes paper.

I used Ali's stamps to help prompt my journaling.

I also used the photo stamp set on the camera paper. I stamped some of the sentiments using Spun Sugar Distress Ink for a subtle look.

The oh, snap! flair badge is from October Afternoon.

The style flair badge is from American Crafts.

I love telling two different sides of a story and Ali's stamps are perfect for these kinds of layouts.

I hope you enjoyed this post today and that you will subscribe for future posts.

Hugs, Shelly
