Decorating with a Heidi Swapp Marquee Letter - Process Video

I got a Michael's gift card for my birthday from a crafty friend and I used it to buy myself a Heidi Swapp Marquee letter.
I thought this would be cute in my craft room.
I decided to go ahead and turn on my camera and record the process of putting it together.
Here is the video.

Here is what you get when you purchase a marquee letter.
The letter, template, bulb caps, light/battery pack and directions.
You will need to supply your own 2 - AAA Batteries.

There are options on the back of the box for how you might want to decorate your letter.

You can paint it, washi tape it, add paper, or glitter it.

I chose this fun silver glitter chevron paper by Recollections from Michael's.

I turned the paper over and traced my letter backwards (just like we used to do in school).

Don't forget to trace the circles too.

Once you cut out the letter and holes, you place the paper in the letter and add the bulb caps.

You then string the lights into the bulb caps. Add your batteries and you are ready to use your new marquee letter.

Here it is completed. It took me about 15 minutes.

That included a few interruptions. (pets that wanted attention!)

Here it is turned on.

I placed mine in my craft room on top of one of my Ikea Alex drawer units.

I can reach it easily to turn on.

The battery pack fits perfectly on the bottom of the letter.

I love it that there are no cords and you don't need an outlet!!

This was a fun project and I love it that it didn't take long at all.

These letters are so cute for any room in your home.

I hope you enjoyed this post and enjoy the process video.

Hugs, Shelly
