I created this easy but fun DIY Beach Sign for my summer mantel and I want to share it with you today.
The first thing that I did to the arrow was paint it an Espresso acrylic paint color.
I didn't do a thick layer, just enough to cover the arrow.
Next, I painted over the Espresso color with a white acrylic paint.
I used a dry brush and used a light layer.
I wanted the espresso color to show through, giving the arrow a distressed look.
For the beach letters, I cut them from my Silhouette Cameo die cut machine.
I traced each letter onto the arrow.
Then I used small paint brushes and the espresso paint to color in the beach letters.
This is what the sign looked like once I was finished coloring in the letters.
Now I am ready to add it to my summer mantel.
It already came with a hanging rope which made it perfect for hanging on my faux window.
I just attached a clear command hook to the window for hanging.
You can see how we made the faux window here.
You can also see how I made the DIY Rope Nautical Wreath here.
This was quick, easy, and inexpensive project.
I love how it looks on my summer mantel.
Thanks for looking and I hope you subscribe via email or Bloglovin for future posts.
Hugs, Shelly
