Back to School Teacher Gift - Curly Paper Music Note Wreath

I have a back to school teacher gift to share with you today.
I made my daughter's flute teacher a curly paper music note wreath.

Here is the how-to video if you are interested in seeing how this was made.

Here are the supplies that I used:
12 inch foam wreath form
American Crafts white cardstock
Recollections Music Note Stamp
VersaFine Black Ink
Bone Folder
Straight Pins
Black Ribbon

I usually make my curly paper wreaths with patterned scrapbook paper, but I didn't have any music paper on hand.

So I decided to make my own using a music note stamp, black ink, and white cardstock.

I just stamped the image all over the 12x12 cardstock. I stamped on the front and back of the cardstock.

Next, I cut my stamped paper into 1/2 inch strips and then curled the paper with my bone folder.

I then used the straight pins to stick the curled paper into the wreath form.

I cut some music notes and a flute from the Silhouette Cameo. I wanted to use black cardstock, but I was out. I used white cardstock and my black embossing powder to color the music notes black.

I used silver embossing powder on the flute.

I used my glue gun to glue on the music notes and flute to the wreath.

Here is the completed wreath.

I love this so much!!

The silver embossing powder worked wonderful on the flute.

We gave this to Emily's flute teacher yesterday and she loved it!

She told me that she is going to hang it on her home office door where she works with her students.

I love surprising people with these wreaths. You can't find these in any store.

I wasn't sure how making my own "patterned paper" would turn out, but I love it!

If you had an old music book, that would work too.

The embossing powders make the music notes and flute shimmer.

Maybe it's a good thing that I was out of black cardstock :-)

I hope you enjoyed seeing this teacher gift idea.

These wreaths make perfect gifts for any occasion!

Hugs, Shelly
