June 2015 Project Life Layout Share and Video

Today I have my June 2015 Project Life layouts to share with you.

Here is  the video if you would like to see everything in detail.

I used a couple of older Simple Stories summer collections called I Heart Summer and Good Day Sunshine plus some other fun embellishments from my stash

I used this fun stripped banner die cut from Simple Stories to transition my album into summer.

I added on the yellow 4x6 card and embellished with some stickers and an enamel dot.

The other side has this fun 4x6 camera die cut card and I just added a chipboard heart to the center of the card.

For my June month card, I just used this 3x4 picture of a weather app screen shot and added on the "hello June" stickers.

For page one of June, I covered Emily's last week in 7th grade, a great collage picture of a walk around our neighborhood pond, and a collage of Emily getting her eyebrows waxed for the first time!

I added a Simple Stories flip 3x4 card so that I could include more pictures from the last day of school.

For page two, I captured our 20th wedding anniversary trip to Charleston, SC. I took a lot of pictures from this trip, but included my favorites in this album.

This is my smaller page pocket that I have been including in each month to hold fun pictures from the month that don't necessarily need any journaling. I just love looking at them and how they represent the month.

For side two, I included more pictures of our trip to Charleston.

For page three, I included two more pictures from Charleston, Father's Day, and some summer snapshots around the house.

My last three pictures flowed over into the next layout spread that will start July.

This is a fun collage of some summer decor that I made for my home. You can watch the summer home decor tour video here

This fun collage captures a fun day at the pool. The summer lovin' is an overlay that I cut to fit the space and then I stapled it over some Simple Stories cloud paper.

My last picture from June is a shot of a pineapple that I was about to cut up. This is my favorite summer fruit!

That completes my June 2015 project life layouts.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Fall Mantel 2015 and Home Decor Video Tour

Hi there, I am back today to share my Fall 2015 Mantel and Home Decor Video Tour.

Here is the Home Decor Video tour if you would like to see my home decorated for fall.

I love decorating my home for fall, but my favorite area to decorate is my mantel and fireplace.

I decided to keep the decorations neutral and I used a pumpkin theme.

I bought this white lantern for my summer beach theme and had it placed on my dining room table.

For fall, I decided to use it on my mantel and placed a faux candle and fall pumpkin filler mix inside.

I have had this orange ceramic pumpkin in my stash for years and I just bought this cream burlap pumpkin from Michael's this season.

I shared how to make this book paper banner and fabric scrap wreath here

I love these neutral colors. They can work for anytime of the year in my home decor.

I found this wonderful book paper pumpkin from a vintage market last year and knew that I wanted to use it on my mantel this year. This is what gave me the idea to use pumpkins, neutral colors, and to make the book paper banner.

For my fireplace, I used a fall grapevine to twine around my faux fireplace cover

I decorated these craft pumpkins and found that they looked wonderful in front of the fireplace cover.

I made the rustic fall sign last year and it sits perfectly on the fireplace cover.

I added in some fall pumpkin fillers to the red lanterns as well.

I love the look of my fall mantel this year!

I hope that you do to as well and are inspired to decorate for fall.

Thank you so much for looking.

Hugs, Shelly

Four Easy Fall Home Decor Projects | Progress Video Included

Happy October 1st!

It's a great day to share four easy fall home decor projects that I made over the weekend.

You can see how I made each of these projects in the video linked below.

Here are pictures of each project.

My first project is a book paper fan banner.

I had all of the necessary supplies on hand for this project.

I placed this banner on my mantel. I draped it across my faux window.

The next project is a fall leaf wreath.

I had the leaf stems and 18 inch grapevine wreath in my stash.

I found the tin pumpkin sign at my local Michael's.

This looks absolutely beautiful on my front door!

My second wreath is a scrap fabric wreath.

All I needed for this project was the 12 inch wire wreath form that costs $2.99 at Michael's.

I had the leftover lace ribbon, canvas, and burlap in my stash.

This wreath is hanging on my faux window on my mantel and looks fabulous next to the book paper fan banner.

This wreath is neutral in color and could be used anytime during the year.

My final project uses three craft pumpkins from Michael's. I bought them when they were 60% off.

All other supplies came from my stash.

I just stenciled and painted some leaf shapes onto each pumpkin.

I added on some gold doilies, leaf shapes cut from burlap and book paper, some floral stems, and raffia to the tops of the pumpkins.

These look so pretty sitting in front of my fireplace.

We made the handmade fireplace cover that you can see here

I made the DIY Fall Rustic sign (pumpkins, apples, and hayrides) last year and you can find that here

I love all of these projects and was so happy to use a lot of products from my stash.

I hope that you are inspired to create some new fall decor for your home.

Thanks for looking!

Hugs, Shelly
