DIY Neutral Home Decor Piece and My Winter Mantel

I want to share with you an easy DIY Neutral Home Decor piece that I made for my winter mantel.

You can watch me put this together and get a tour of my winter mantel on the YouTube video below.

I found all of these supplies at Michael's.

Emily and I took a trip to a new Michael's on my birthday.

When we walked in the door, they had a new collection called Market Alphabet Soup that they had just put out on the shelves.

The first piece that I saw and had to have was this distressed pallet.

I knew this would be perfect for my winter mantel, but it's also neutral enough that it would be perfect for all-year round.

When I began walking around, I found the letter "B," mason jar lid with knob, copper burlap flower, and resin keyhole piece and just started playing with how I wanted to lay it out on the pallet.

This project took me around 10 minutes to put together.

The letter B has a hanger on the back, so I just hammered in a nail to the pallet and hung the letter on the top left corner.

The next thing I did, was hot glue the mason jar lid onto the keyhole resin piece.

Then I hot glued the resin piece to the right side of the pallet. So easy!

The last piece to go on is the copper burlap flower. This is actually a magnet, so I just added on some hot glue to the magnet and adhered it to the bottom left corner.

Here is a look at it on my winter mantel.

I layered it on top of my faux window and picket fence.

I draped a yarn pom-pom banner across it.

I love how this turned out.

You could stencil on some words to each picket or I can change up the banner going across it for each season.

Here is a look at the entire mantel.

Here is a look at the fireplace. I added another yarn pom-pom banner across my faux gate fireplace cover.

I added some pine cones to my red lanterns and I also added the red ladder and wreath from my craft room.

Here is a look at the entire view of the mantel and fireplace

It took me a while to get my mantel decorated for winter, but I am so happy with how it turned out and I love the new neutral home decor piece.

This will be a fun piece to decorate for the year.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.

Hugs, Shelly
