Gone to the Beach Summer Home Decor Sign
This wooden sign came from the Target Dollar Spot and I only paid around $3 bucks for it!!
I snatched it up and knew that I wanted to paint a saying on it for my summer decor.
Here are the supplies that I used.
My wooden sign, white acrylic paint, a paint brush, my "gone the beach" die cut from my Silhouette Cameo, and a pencil.
I lightly traced my die cut onto the sign.
Not sure how well you can see my tracing, but I did it lightly so that I could just paint over it and not have to erase it.
I used a thin paint brush to paint in the tracing with some white acrylic paint.
I went over the wording twice with my paint.
Next, I used a nail file to lightly sand the wording for a more weathered look to my sign.
Here is my completed sign. Super easy! I did this in about less than an hour and it was so much fun.
I have this hanging on my craft room door, but placed it on my summer mantel so that you can get an idea just how cute it looks with other summer, beach decor.
I made the rope nautical wreath last year.
I found the sand metal sign this summer at World Market.
If you find the inexpensive wooden signs at Target, snatch them up, and have fun creating with them.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
See you next time.
